About M. Little and her Creations
My official introduction:
Hey y'all! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out my wares.
I guess that I should move onto the introduction of myself and how this website came to be.
I have sewn for 25 years, maybe more. In the very beginning I started a small business making custom quilts. I later evolved my sewing skills into pocketbooks and bags. Occassionally I still make quilts but, with my tiny living space I am limited to lap quilts or smaller sized projects. Fun side note, I recently started learning how to sew clothing items for myself. It's been fun and I cannot wait to make more.
In 2020, my husband bought an oil painting kit and a few canvases for my birthday gift. I fell in love with painting on the canvas. I was admittedly inspired by Bob Ross. At the time I was a nail tech. Not only was I a nail tech, but I was one of the very few in my area who offered the level of nail art that I did. I'm not patting myself on the back, well maybe I am a little bit. Seriously, I'm only mentioning it because my clients challenged me and helped me better my artistic skill. I loved the nail art that I was doing on my clients nails, but there was something more rewarding about painting on canvases instead. Maybe it was that it was a larger space to work upon as opposed to fingernails, but I think it was most rewarding because it was more permanent. Within 2-3 weeks my clients were back and I had to remove what I had spent 2 hours on from the last appointment. All that art, just gone, and all that is left are pictures of them. Canvas, however, lasts as long as you care for it to.
My life has changed DRAMATICALLY over the past few years. We moved an hour away from our hometown, I retired my nail tech career, we live tiny (HUGE LIFE CHANGE) and now I own chickens. Lots of them. My focus now is to make what I feel led to or inspired to make. If someone else wants it, all the better the blessing.
As I stated earlier, this is low-tech, on purpose. I plan to have things listed here as well as rent a booth at a few craft show and events throughout the year.
With Love in Jesus,
M. Little
